* WINDS...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph will persist across southern portions of zone 478 through this afternoon. A cold front will turn winds northerly by early evening.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent this afternoon in southern portions of zone 478. RH climbing above 20 percent early this evening with the passage of a cold front.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.
