* WHAT...Unseasonably hot conditions with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s possible in Downtown Los Angeles and the low 80s in Inglewood. Hottest Wednesday.

* WHERE...Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles.

* WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 9 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher humidity will have the potential to add to the heat discomfort in the afternoons. Temperatures are expected to cool slightly after Thursday.
