At 502 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles east of High Point to 7 miles southeast of Thomasville to 9 miles southeast of Lexington. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Greensboro, High Point, Asheboro, Randleman, North Carolina Zoo, Archdale, Pleasant Garden, Liberty, Ramseur, and Denton.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 near Mile Marker 33, and between Mile Markers 107 and 122. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 65 and 99. Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 74 and 79.
