The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 830 PM MST.

* At 527 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the west side of Sedona. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sedona, Page Springs and Red Rock State Park.

This includes State Route 89A between mile markers 364 and 372.

This includes the following swimming holes... Buddha Beach "Red Rock Crossing" and Crescent Moon Ranch.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Spring Creek, Dry Creek, Turkey Creek and Oak Creek.
