Flash Flood Warning

At 654 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in West and Central Lubbock. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but only light additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lubbock, Lubbock South Plains Mall, Reese Center and Lubbock Science Spectrum.
