* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...West Central Randall County in the panhandle of Texas...
* WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 301 PM CDT, river gauge reports indicated Palo Duro Creek is still above flood stage north of Umbarger. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. The creek peaked at 12 feet around 6 AM and is currently at 10.5 feet as of 3PM. Flood stage is 10 feet. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
