.Low Relative Humidity and Windy conditions will create critical fire weather conditions across the Yakima/Kittitas Valley and the Columbia Basin of OR and WA.
The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 690 Kittitas Valley, 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Washington.
* TIMING...From Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.
* WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
