...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU, THE WEST CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY, SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS, AND CENTRAL HIGHLANDS...
.Hot, dry, and windy conditions that develop over the Northwest Plateau on Tuesday will spread as far southeast as the Central Highlands on Wednesday, due to strengthening northwest flow aloft and a surface trough in the lee of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
* AFFECTED AREA...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101).
* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from 1 PM to 7 PM MDT Tuesday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 5 and 9 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
