Severe Thunderstorm Warning

At 346 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles southeast of Valentine to 12 miles northeast of Valentine National Wildlife Refuge to 8 miles east of Merritt Reservoir, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Valentine National Wildlife Refuge, Big Alkali Lake State Wildlife Management Area, and Schlagel Creek State Wildlife Management Area.

This includes the following highways... Highway 20 between mile markers 200 and 219. Highway 83 between mile markers 188 and 207.
