For the following areas... Coastal waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM...

At 1050 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 6 NM northeast of Kiawah Reef, moving northeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Capers Reef, Bull Breakers, Rattlesnake Shoal, Capers Island Buoy, Charleston Nearshore Reef, Joe Shuford Reef, Charleston Sixty, Air Force Reef, Charleston Coastal Anglers, Jimmy Leland Tug, Bulls Bay, Lowcountry Anglers, Kiawah Reef, N. Edisto Nearshore Reef and Hector Reef.
