Details

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet and dangerous rip currents expected in the surf zone.
* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, along west and north facing reefs. For the High Rip Current Risk, along west, north, and east facing reefs.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 4 PM ChST Monday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As influence from Typhoon Dolphin on the monsoon pattern decreases, influence from Invest 96W and additional disturbances will increase. This will keep surf elevated and above hazardous conditions for west and north facing reefs through the weekend.
