...HIGH SURF ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES OF NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU AND MOLOKAI AND NORTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...
..A moderate size, long period north northwest swell will arrive early Thursday and fill in around the island chain through the morning. This swell will lift surf heights to advisory level thresholds along north-facing and west-facing shores.
* WHAT...Surf heights of between 14 to 18 feet along north-facing shores, 10 to 14 feet along west-facing shores.
* WHERE...The north-facing and west-facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and the north-facing shores of Maui.
* WHEN...From 6 AM Thursday to 6 AM HST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.
