* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast North Carolina, including the following county, Gates and southeast Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, City of Chesapeake, City of Franklin, City of Suffolk, Isle of Wight and Southampton.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1112 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area through midnight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
