.SITUATION OVERVIEW... Super Typhoon Champi continues to barrel west-northwestward as the eye exits Guam coastal waters, with its outer rainbands continuing to sweep the island. Sustained damaging tropical storm force-winds continue at Guam International Airport this morning, with occasional Typhoon-force gusts to 80 mph. Champi's eye, and the destructive conditions within its compact eyewall, narrowly missed Guam early this morning, passing just 10 miles south of the southern tip of the island at around 4:26 AM ChST. The eye remains compact and very well-defined, with a width of around 5 to 6 miles.

Instructions

As damaging tropical storm-force conditions continue, do not go outside to check for damage or to implement temporary repairs, even as sustained winds begin to diminish through the next few hours. Occasional typhoon-force, or strong tropical storm-force gusts, will maintain dangerous conditions outdoors. Do not open the doors of your home or shelter until high winds fully subside. Wait for the all- clear signal. Passing rain showers will bring very strong gusts without warning.
