* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Big Blue River near Crete.

* WHEN...From late tonight until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Extensive flooding is widespread. Past floods have not flooded the urban areas of Crete.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight and continue rising to a crest of 30.1 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.9 feet on 07/03/1986. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
