.Several inches of rainfall over the past week have brought moderate flooding to the Wabash River. The crest on the Wabash is past Independence and approaching Covington on Monday afternoon. The crest is forecast to reach Riverton this weekend. Additional rainfall later this week could lengthen the amount of time spent in flood.

* WHERE...Wildcat Creek near Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding of Wildcat Creek Park and possible residential areas in the vicinity of Eisenhower Rd.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 AM EDT Monday was 15.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0 feet this afternoon.
