...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...
Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine Counties.
English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and will continue.
* WHERE...English River at Kalona.
* WHEN...Until late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, water overtops roads causing closures. This includes 130th St, Kiwi Ave, Orange Ave and Poplar Ave. Extensive agricultural land near the river is flooded. Water begins backing into town on the north side of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.7 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
