At 413 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Yosemite National, or 22 miles north of Yosemite South Entrance, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Hetch Hetchy, Hetch Hetchy Ranger Station, Tamarack Flat Campground, Gin Flat, White Wolf Campground, Yosemite Creek Campground, Mather Ranger Station, and Rancheria Falls Wilderness Campground.
