* At 851 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Granite, or near Sandy, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Sandy, Murray, West Jordan, Taylorsville, South Jordan, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, Herriman, Alpine, Bluffdale, Summit Park, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Granite, Mill Creek Canyon, Cottonwood West, and Mount Olympus.

This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 284 and 300.
