Details

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain.
Potential rainfall rates: locally 20 to 30 mm per hour in thunderstorms.
Time span: until this evening.
Remarks: An area of strengthening thunderstorms has developed over the Gulf of St. Lawrence and are moving onto the west coast of the island. Some of these storms may become severe, producing locally torrential downpours.
Small hail may also accompany the strongest storms.
