Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 4:41 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and very heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: From areas west of Ottawa to northwest of Gatineau.

Motion: Moving southeastward near 40 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: up to toonie size (up to 3 cm) Rain: 30 to 60 mm locally

Discussion: A line of thunderstorms will move from west to east across the regions late this afternoon.
