Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

An upper-level disturbance is combining with an unstable airmass creating conditions favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.

These severe thunderstorms will be capable of strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rainfall.

Driving conditions may be difficult.

Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
