Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Hazards: Wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Quarter to toonie sized hail. Locally heavy rainfall of 30 to 50 mm.

Timing: Continuing tonight.

Additional information: Thunderstorms will continue to track east across the area tonight. Some storms could become severe with strong winds and large hail.

Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.
