Red Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 4:44 p.m. EDT, a line of extremely dangerous thunderstorms is located from about Bogies Beach to Bayfield then to 15 km north of Ipperwash Beach. These extremely dangerous thunderstorms are moving quickly to the east at 75 km/h. Destructive wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain are possible.

Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Bayfield, Grand Bend, Wingham, Hensall, Exeter, Mitchell, Listowel, Lucan, Palmerston, Stratford

Driving conditions will be difficult. Buildings and/or many trees will be destroyed. Large hail will cause significant damage and injury. There is a risk of life-threatening injury.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
