Orange Watch - Tornado

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.

What: Wind gusts up to 120 km/h Toonie to golf ball sized hail Total rainfall amounts up to 50 mm Tornadoes are possible

When: Beginning this afternoon and possibly continuing into this evening.

Additional information: Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and may continue into this evening. The main threats are wind and hail, however tornadoes are possible.

Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes.
