Heavy rain continues this morning.
What: 10 mm more rain on top of what has already fallen (25 - 50 mm total in this rainfall event)
When: Continues until mid morning
Where: Cariboo - with the highest rainfall amounts near the Cariboo Mountains.
Additional information: An upper low pressure system is crossing central BC today. Rain, heavy at times, can be expected near and north of the low through this morning.
There is some uncertainty regarding the location and amount of heaviest rainfall, but the Cariboo Mountains may receive up to 50 mm of rain. Embedded thunderstorms can also add to the rainfall amounts locally.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. Fast-moving bodies of water increase risk to life safety.
