At 4:09 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.
Thunderstorm Location: From areas west of Ottawa, south of Ottawa and just east of Clarence-Rockland.
Motion: Moving slowly eastward to southeastward
Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: up to toonie size (up to 3 cm) Rain: 50-100 mm locally
Discussion: Very heavy rain reported Ottawa city and southward with 66 millimeters record in the last 2 hours at the Ottawa International Airport and there are reports of ponding on roads.
