Orange Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 7:05 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Belleville to Sharbot Lake to Perth.

Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 70 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (Up to 110 km/h) The strongest winds may be ahead of the line of thunderstorms. Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (Up to 50 mm)

Locations in the Path: Belleville, Perth, Smiths Falls, Kingston, Prescott, Brockville

Significant damage to buildings and/or trees is likely. Heavy rain will likely cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail will likely cause significant damage and injury. There is a risk of serious injury.
