Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 7:16 p.m. CDT (8:16 p.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: From 50 km southwest of Kitchie Lake to Highbank Lake to 35 km northeast of Kitchie Lake

Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 80 km/h

Hazards: Wind: Damaging (90-110 km/h) Hail: Toonie to ping pong ball (2.5 to 4.5 cm) Rain: Heavy (30 to 50 mm)

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.
