Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 4:04 p.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing heavy rain.

Locations: Near Upper Ohio

Maximum rainfall rates: locally 20 to 30 mm per hour in thunderstorms.

Time span: until early this evening.

Remarks: Satellite and radar imagery indicate an area of thunderstorms near Upper Ohio, and is moving slowly to the northeast. Heavy downpours are associated with these thunderstorms.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
