Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

What: Wind gusts up to 110 km/h. Quarter to Toonie sized hail. Risk of a tornado.

When: Beginning this afternoon and ending late this evening.

Additional information: Thunderstorms developing this afternoon have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts and large hail. There is also a slight risk of a tornado.

Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. There is a risk of injury.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
