Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 2:30 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Over Pefferlaw.

Motion: Moving east at 35 km/h.

Hazards: Up to 90 km/h winds. Up to loonie saized hail. Locally heavy rainfall with up to 50 mm possible.

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.
