Yellow Warning - Rainfall

Very heavy rain is expected.

Where: West Vancouver Island

When: Tonight and Wednesday.

Remarks: A frontal system over the central coast will track southwards across Vancouver Island on Wednesday. Rain, heavy at times, will continue tonight and Wednesday. Rainfall amounts of 100 mm are expected with potentially higher amounts over northern sections near Zeballos. The heavy rain will ease late Wednesday afternoon as the front exits the region.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Local utility outages are possible.
