At 9:30 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and up to quarter size hail.

Thunderstorm Location: South of Niagara Falls to Port Colborne.

Motion: Moving quickly to the southeast at 75 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (up to 110 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Risk of a tornado.

Locations in the Path: Welland, Port Colborne, Fort Erie

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely.
