Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 6:07 p.m. MST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

There is a cluster of severe thunderstorms located in the South Peace region. Locations that will be affected include: Highway 29 between Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. Highway 52 north of Tumbler Ridge will be affected.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
