Orange Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 9:58 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

These thunderstorms are located north of Matagami and are moving southeast at 40 kilometres per hour.

Note: The radar is showing an area of rotation 50 kilometres north of Matagami. There is a risk of tornadoes in this area.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
