Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

What: Wind gusts up to 100 km/h. Up to quarter sized hail. Heavy rain, possibly exceeding 30 mm.

When: Early this evening.

Additional information: A line of strong thunderstorms is tracking over southern Ontario and will continue to track east this evening.

Local utility outages are possible. There is a risk of injury.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
