Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
An area of thunderstorms currently affecting northern Cape Breton have the potential to become severe. These storms are moving southeast at around 50 km/h.
Hazards: - Heavy rainfall - Strong wind gusts
Locations impacted include: Chéticamp, Grand Étang, Margaree Harbour, Petit Étang, Belle-Marche, La Prairie, Plateau, Cap Le Moine, Pleasant Bay, Belle Côte, Red River (Inverness), Margaree, Portree, Cape Breton Highlands National Park of Canada, Margaree Forks.
