The first notable accumulating snowfall of the season is expected, primarily over higher terrain.
Locations: south coast of Newfoundland from Burgeo to the Burin Peninsula as well as Clarenville and vicinity.
Potential snowfall: 2 to 5 cm, highest over higher terrain.
Time span: Friday morning to Friday afternoon.
Remarks: As temperatures hover near the freezing mark, snowfall accumulations may vary over short distances. Precipitation should remain primarily as rain over lower elevations along the coast.
Be prepared for winter driving conditions, particularly over higher terrain sections of the Bay d'Espoir Highway, Burin Peninsula Highway, Burgeo Highway, and the Trans-Canada Highway between Goobies and Port Blandford.
