* Flash Flood Warning for... Southwestern Emery County in central Utah...
* Until 430 AM MDT.
* At 137 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Goblin Valley, Little Wild Horse, Crack, Chute, Ding, Dang and all other slot canyons in the area.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 between mile markers 108 and 150. Utah Route 24 between mile markers 134 and 156...and between mile markers 158 and 160.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
