Tropical Cyclone Lala will bring heavy rain to the Big Island and Maui County this evening through Sunday and Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau Saturday evening through late Sunday night.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...Lanai, Molokai, and Kahoolawe.

* WHEN...From this evening through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Tropical Cyclone Lala will bring periods of heavy rain to Lanai, Molokai, and Kahoolawe this evening through late Saturday night. Current forecast has rainfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches with local amounts up to 8 inches. The highest rainfall totals are expected over windward areas.
