* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
* WHERE...Along west-facing reefs.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A combination of the remnant monsoon surge and Tropical Depression 19W, well northwest of Yap Island, are producing a long-period southwest swell of 7 to 8 ft capable of high surf and dangerous rip currents along west-facing reefs. Conditions may begin to subside Monday night, so conditions will continue to be monitored.
