Special Weather Statement

At 854 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Woodhaven Lakes to near Shale City. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Kewanee, Princeton, Aledo, Cambridge, Hennepin, Geneseo, Spring Valley, Galva, Burgess, Orion, DePue, Walnut, Ladd, Wyanet, Atkinson, Viola, Sheffield, Annawan, Tiskilwa, and Woodhull.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 16 and 72. Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 16 and 33. Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 13.
