* Flash Flood Warning for... Coconino County in north central Arizona... Including Colorado River between river miles 0 and 11
* Until 245 PM MST /345 PM MDT/.
* At 1153 AM MST /1253 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area from Marble Canyon to near Lees Ferry. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Marble Canyon, Marble Canyon Airport, Jackass Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Lees Ferry.
This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 543 and 546. the Colorado River between river miles 0 and 11. U.S. Highway 89A between mile markers 531 and 545.
This includes the following slot canyons... Cathedral Wash, Cathedral Wash and Jackass Canyon.
This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Lee's Ferry Campground, Lees Ferry Campground, Paria Beach Camp Site, Opposite Cathedral Camp Site, Cathedral Wash Camp Site, Jackass Camp Site, Badger Camp Site, Sandbar Camp Site, Soap Creek Camp Site, Ferry Swale Camp Site, Twin Stripes Camp Site and Lees Ferry Camp Site.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Ferry Swale Canyon, Cave Canyon, Ninemile Draw, Salt Water Wash, Fall Creek, Cathedral Wash, Colorado River, Honey Draw, Seven Mile Draw, Water Holes Canyon, "5- Mile Wash", Paria River, Jackass Creek, Badger Canyon and Soap Creek.
