At 319 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking several strong storms forming across the Sierra Front and the Western Nevada Basin and Range. Storms will continue to form and move northeast this evening.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Reno, Carson City, Virginia City, Pyramid Lake, Lahontan Reservoir, Topaz Lake, Gardnerville, Sparks, Fernley, Dayton, Johnson Lane, Hawthorne, Yerington, Wingfield Springs, Northwest Reno, Cold Springs, Golden Valley, Virginia Peak, New Washoe City, and Hidden Valley.
