At 621 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area with numerous roads flooded. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Newton, Hackettstown, Washington, Oxford, Hope, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Andover, Great Meadows-Vienna, Allamuchy-Panther Valley, Beatyestown and Greendell.
This includes Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 11 and 24.
