Details

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Wilkes and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.
* WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 202 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain has exited the advisory area, leaving only light to occasionally moderate rainfall. However, runoff from heavy rain earlier tonight continues to collect in area creeks and rivers, and may cause a them to come out of their banks in a few locations. Anywhere creeks and streams are out of their banks may affect nearby roads with minor flooding. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Basin Creek, Bridle Creek, Beaver Creek, Church Branch, Cane Creek, East Prong Roaring River, Bee Tree Branch, Clear Branch, Cove Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Crab Fork, Darnell Creek and Brush Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
