* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Western Sierra County in south central New Mexico... Northeastern Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 603 PM MDT, Moderate to briefly heavy rainfall continues to lift across eastern Grant and Western Sierra Counties. Rainfall rates around 1 inch per hour have been observed. This will result in minor flooding on several low water crossings in the area. Rises on the Mimbres River are likely. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Faywood, San Lorenzo, Cuchillo, Hurley, Hillsboro, Sherman, Cobre, Bayard and Kingston. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
