* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Northern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 557 PM MDT, Moderate to locally heavy rainfall continue to affect northern Dona Ana County. Localized flooding is likely to continue. - Flash flood warnings are also in effect for some areas, including Rincon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hatch, Leasburg, Rincon, Northrup Landing, Radium Springs, Dona Ana, Salem, Garfield, Portions of Jornada Experimental Range, Uvas Valley, and Hill. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
