The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...

* Until 915 PM MDT.

* At 609 PM MDT, Slow moving thunderstorms have spread closer to Interstate 10, just south of Las Cruces. Torrential rainfall rates over 2 inches per hour have been observed.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of arroyos, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
